“What a craicin’ way to do a Covid holiday!

Our goal was to have a self contained holiday and our Craicn Motorhome provided that and more. Our pick up was very professional with Finnian explaining all about the vehicle while masked and socially distanced. We had a Sunlight T68 which was spotless, very well kitted out and very spacious. The fridge freezer is of a very generous size so we had no difficulty having our meals on the campsites. We used the bed at the rear which was extremely comfortable. I am reliably informed by ‘he who loves driving‘ that it drove very smoothly and was easy to manoeuvre. We toured the south east and found some lovely campsites. ‘The Glen of Aherlow‘ site was excellent for its location and layout as was ‘Newtown Cove‘ outside Tramore, which was manicured and spotless. We enjoyed ‘Dick’s Field‘ in Ardmore for its friendliness and beautiful location. Touring with a Motorhome is a great way to see Ireland. Being up so high we had wonderful views of the rolling fields and rivers of the south east. On occasion on narrow roads it seemed the tall fences and bushes hadn’t heard of social distancing… but we and the motorhome survived. Looking forward to repeating the experience again in 2021. “I’ve always fancied the idea of a trip in a campervan so last week we hired a campervan from Craicncampers and headed off to Cong Co Mayo for a three night stay in the Lakeland Campsite. We loved it. The campervan had everything you needed. Easy to drive, manoeuvre and very comfortable, Cong was brilliant – boat trip on Lough Corrib, walks in the woods, sat watching the salmon jumping. Great restaurants too – Lydons especially. Had a seafood linguini to die for.

“We were a group of 6 travelling in a 6 berth Bela Easy Mauritius motorhome for 1 week. Finnian was excellent at communicating by phone/email before and after our booking. Always quick responses to emails, which is important when you are trying to coordinate a trip with others in your group. Secure parking was provided for our cars whilst we traveled and we received our security deposit back in full. On a side note, I would highly recommend Wave Crest Caravan Park in Kerry for anyone planning a trip around the South West. If you have any kind of decent weather, you’ll have a very enjoyable stay.
