New Year’s Eve Festivities!
New Year’s Eve is always busy with plenty of events and parties to go to. Accommodation can be tricky however and usually booked up in advance, so why not hire a campervan for your trip?! They are self-sufficient and as we are registered with Safe Nights, we can supply you with a list of locations where you can safely park and wild camp for your stay. Being the time of year it is, a lot of campsites are closed for Winter, so this is a good option! All you have to do now is choose where to go and ring in the New Year!!
New Year’s Eve Dublin
Dublin are hosting a mini New Year’s festival and have a few things going on over two days at the Custom House on the quays. First up is the Liffey Lights Midnight Movement on New Year’s Eve, which is a light show against the backdrop of the Custom House that has been described as a “high flying, aerial and aquatic spectacle”. There is a family friendly event at 6:30pm which leads to an early countdown at 7pm. Then later there is another event that begins at 11:30pm leading up to an amazing display at midnight! While this event is free, it is ticketed so make sure to register for yours!
Then Kodaline headline the 3 Countdown concert this year. Joined by Hudson Taylor and Keywest this is not one to be missed! Tickets cost €45.05 and the concert is held at the iconic Custom House. The concert is followed by the lighting of the spire at midnight.
New Year’s Day also has a ticketed free event happening. A family fun day with the 3 New Year’s Day concert, expect to see jugglers, mime artists and stilt walkers! There will be more amazing displays of aquatic and aerial stunts on the River Liffey too!

Locals will be on hand afterwards with soup and there is live music and plenty of craic on the day! A collection is held on the day to support Achill RNLI Lifeboat. Find out more below.
