This summer, a group of eight of us set off on a memorable campervan golfing trip across Ireland. Craic N Campers provided us with two spacious and comfortable campervans, perfect for our three-day golfing adventure. Keep reading to find out how we got on…..
Day 1: Departure and Bunclody Golf & Fishing Club
Our journey began early on Thursday morning as we collected our campers from Roscommon. We packed our clubs and set off towards our first destination: Bunclody Golf & Fishing Club. A bit short of a 3-hour drive to County Wexford, Bunclody offered a stunning landscape that set the tone for the trip. The course was challenging yet enjoyable, providing the perfect start to our golfing journey.
After a day on the greens, we headed to Dunmore East, where we parked our campers for the night in a public carpark. Dinner, a few drinks and an early night before round 2 tomorrow.
Day 2: Faithlegg Golf Club and Kilkenny
Friday morning saw us making our way to Faithlegg Golf Club, situated in the heart of County Waterford. The course, known for its beautiful surroundings and well-maintained greens, did not disappoint. Our game at Faithlegg was both relaxing and exhilarating, making it a day to remember.
Post-golf, we drove to Kilkenny. We spent the night in Kilkenny, enjoying the busy pubs and the lively atmosphere. We parked in the Wolfe Tone Street Car Park that has a designated section for campervans, park4night.com is a handy place to find out about campervan parking spots like these around Ireland.
Day 3: The Highlight at Mount Juliet
Saturday was the pinnacle of our trip as we teed off at the renowned Mount Juliet Estate. This world-class golf course, with its immaculate fairways and challenging holes, was the highlight of the trip. The beauty of Mount Juliet left a lasting impression on all of us, making it the most memorable part of our journey. After a fantastic day of golf, we returned to Kilkenny for our final night.
Our three-day golfing trip in the southeast was an incredible experience, made possible by Craic N Campers. This has become an annual trip for us, and we can’t wait for next summer already.
